While working on a new animation engine for Papervision3D 2.0 (not yet available) fixed the MD2 class to work with this upcoming release of Papervision3D.
ASCollada now supports skinning and morphing! The mushroom you see below contains a skeleton (a bone-hierarchy) which bends the stem. The mesh is further transformed by 5 morph targets.
NOTE: This example was compiled with Papervision3D 2.0 RC0. This upcoming Papervision3D version is only available for PV3D’s core developers. So you have to be patient for a few weeks.
Models in Google’s 3D Warehouse can now be downloaded in the Collada fileformat.
Just added basic spline support to ascollada’s Phunky branch. Created an example in MAX by using a simpe text with xero’s Papervision3D font.
At the moment only simple line segments are imported, stuff like tangents etc. will be implemented later.
